Guinness is brewed in 60 countries and available in over 100 countries.  This world famous beer started with a man named Arthur Guinness, who started brewing ales in 1759 at the St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin. It was New Years Eve (December 31st) 1759 when he signed a 9,000 year lease for £45 per year for the unused brewery.  It was ten years later, May 19th, 1769, Guinness first exported six and a half barrels of his ale to Great Britain.
