A recent Harvard Medical School study found that men who suffer a heart attack could help their recovery odds by having a couple alcoholic beverages daily. This study showed that after suffering a first heart attack, men who are moderate drinkers are much less likely to die compared to non-drinkers. This is really good news and a really good reason to come out to Daddy-O's Pub in Lewisville for Happy Hour or for two rounds of our Nightly Drink Specials.

The researchers from Harvard studied approximately 2,000 American men who had a heart attacks from 1986 - 2006. They followed up with the men for up to a 20 years following their first heart attack. Out of the 2,000 men, only 468 died during the course of this study. But, the men who drank two alcoholic beverages each day over a the 20 some odd years were 42 percent less likely to die from heart disease.
